KATE DYER
I like chatting with people about the things that could make all our lives better – making that a normal thing to do.
Professionally, I’m a ‘governance specialist’ interested in the accountability of governments to citizens. I’m interested in how choices are made about how public money is spent and whose voices count. I also work as a planner, and on monitoring, evaluation and learning systems. I’ve worked for governments, NGOs and aid agencies and philanthropic organisations in the UK and in Sub-Saharan Africa, and lived for nearly 25 years in Africa. I’m excited to learn about how change happens for individuals and communities and how I can offer my skills.
I also love knitting and sewing, and especially mending much-loved things. I like yoga, spending time with animals, being outdoors, running or foraging or just feeling the seasons change.
